Local

Tiger Woods golf bag will have a new look since AT&T dropped him as his sponsor due to the ensuing scandal surrounding his life. His bag will now be adorned with his current sponsor, Nike. Other professional golfers that Nike sponsors have a simple looking style with the Nike swoosh. AT&T, although dropping Tiger as his sponsor, will still sponsor a PGA Tour event over Fourth of July weekend that supports Woods' foundation. Woods will not host that event however.

Local To The Event
Tiger Woods' wife Elin has been missing from her Windermere, Fla. home. Elin, who has stayed at the home that her and Woods share throughout the scandal, taking care of their two children has relocated to another of their homes. This occurred after around 100 texts were released from one of Woods' alleged mistresses.

National

Tiger Woods is the biggest name in golf right now. With his announcement to return to the tournament that he's never missed before at Augusta National Golf Club, there's already a media frenzy outside the course. The tournament has proved to bring millions dollars to the area and hotels have been booked since last year.

International
Golf's number one player has been in a tournament since the Australian Masters on November 15, 2009. He will return to play at the Master's, the year's first major, in Augusta, Ga. This is a tournament that Woods has won on four separate occasions. It is said that this could be one of the most watched Master's due to the level of interest that everyone has had with Woods. Woods will have to be well prepared to play if he expects to do well in April.

Tiger Woods has been the focus of the media so much that cartoons are making parodies of his scandal. In the season premiere of South Park, Eric and Stan beat each other with golf clubs as Elin and Tiger.

This article in the Kansas City Star interviews golfing legend Jack Nicklaus about what he thinks Tiger Woods' plans will be for the Master's Tournament. Nicklaus said "It would surprise me" if Tiger Woods did not return before the Masters.

This article in the Orlando Sentinel discusses radio personality Howard Stern's involvement in the Tiger Woods scandal. Howard Stern will be hosting a Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant where the winner will take home $100,000. The four contestant's identities have not been released. The prize money is coming from AshleyMadison.com, a dating service where the theme is "Life is Short, Have an Affair."

This article in USA Today discusses Tiger Woods returning home and hitting golf balls after a week of family counseling in Arizona. It says his golf and fitness routine which he has initiated will raise speculation as to when he will return to the PGA Tour.

A spokeswoman for Gatorade said "We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship. We wish him all the best."
